The Skatonics are a 9-piece band based in Kent/London who have been getting the scene skanking since 2007. A loyal following has been built through high profile gigs such as the Isle of Wight Festival, Skabour, Stone Valley Festival, F1 Grand Prix, West Ham FC plus much more. They have been the support act for most of the best bands in the industry, gracing the same stages as Madness, The Dualers, The Beat, Bad Manners, The Selecter, Rhoda Dakar, From the Jam and Geno Washington - who said ‘You’re not supporting me again, you’re too f****** good!’
Expect to hear all the hits from the 2-Tone era - Madness, The Selecter, The Beat, Bad Manners, The Bodysnatchers, plus some classic Trojan and other tunes the band have given their own ‘ska twist’ too. Plus, in 2019 the band released their first originals EP – the AA side ‘Hope Street / Valentine’. The Skatonics are always dressed to impress, plus they offer a full band with an absolutely huge sound, including a three piece brass section and both male and female lead vocals. These are some of the reasons they are cited as one of the UK's must-see Ska bands right now. |
